17. REFUND, CANCELLATION, AND PAYMENT POLICY

17.1 Scope and Availability

Paid services, courses, subscriptions, coaching, or other educational offerings may be introduced through our website.

When a paid service is offered, the applicable price, payment conditions, cancellation arrangements, and refund terms will be disclosed before or at the time of purchase.

17.2 7-Day No-Questions-Asked Refund Guarantee

We offer a 7-day refund guarantee on eligible paid services and courses purchased through our website.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a refund within 7 calendar days from the date of successful payment, without providing any reason or justification.

Subject to the conditions below, we will process an eligible refund without requiring the customer to explain their decision.

This guarantee is subject to the following conditions:

• The refund request must be submitted within 7 calendar days of the successful payment.
• The purchase must have been made directly through our authorised website or payment channel.
• The refund request must relate to a genuine purchase and must not involve fraud, payment abuse, or misuse of this policy.
• We reserve the right to investigate suspected duplicate claims, fraudulent transactions, chargeback abuse, unauthorised sharing or redistribution of paid content, and other attempts to misuse the refund facility.
• A refund may be declined where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, abuse, or deliberate misuse, subject to applicable law.
• We will not require a customer to provide a reason for an otherwise eligible refund request within the 7-day period.

17.3 Refunds After the 7-Day Period

After the expiry of the 7-day refund period, refunds may be considered in circumstances such as:

• Duplicate payment for the same purchase.
• An incorrect charge or verified billing error.
• Failure to provide a purchased service due to circumstances attributable to us.
• Cancellation of a service by us where a refund is appropriate.
• Any other circumstances in which a refund is required under applicable law or the specific terms of purchase.

17.4 Technical Issues or Non-Delivery

If you cannot access a service you have purchased because of a technical issue, please contact us so that we can investigate and, where reasonably possible, resolve the issue.

If we cannot provide the purchased service or resolve the issue, we will assess the appropriate remedy in accordance with the applicable purchase terms and law.

17.5 Cancellation and Subscriptions

If subscriptions or recurring payments are introduced, the subscription period, renewal arrangements, cancellation process, and any relevant conditions will be disclosed before purchase.

Users must follow the cancellation instructions provided for the relevant service.

Cancellation may prevent future renewals but will not automatically entitle a user to a refund for a period already paid for, except where the 7-day refund guarantee, applicable purchase terms, or law provide otherwise.

17.6 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email business@thechessproject.com with the following details:

• Name used for the purchase.
• Registered email address.
• Order or transaction reference.
• Date and amount of payment.

For requests made within the 7-day refund period, no explanation or reason for requesting the refund will be required.

We will verify the transaction and process eligible refunds within a reasonable period. Approved refunds will generally be made through the original payment method, where possible. The time taken for the funds to appear may depend on the payment provider or bank.

17.7 Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude or restrict any consumer or other legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

17.8 Separate Purchase Terms

The specific terms displayed for a course, subscription, or other paid service may provide additional details about cancellations, refunds, access periods, and payment arrangements.

Where applicable, those terms should be read together with this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. Applicable law will prevail in the event of any inconsistency.

18. GENERAL PROVISIONS

18.1 Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
